Don Bosco Camp

Don Bosco Camp

Established in 1945 as a summer holiday camp for poor young boys, the camp has grown over its 70 years to include a wide range of clients including schools, youth groups, sporting and community organisations. The inclusion of additional clientele has allowed the camp’s mission work to expand to include additional programs such as winter camps, leadership programs and Asylum Seeker holiday programs.

McIldowie Partners was approached to design an upgrade to Don Bosco Camps’ amenities in 2017. These fantastic new facilities include a chapel, 3 multi-purpose halls, half court gym, reception building, additional toilets and showers, and a large open decking area. These new facilities will be replacing and in the same footprint as the old white buildings and brick toilets, limmiting their impact on the landscape.
