Kangan Institute Fashion Hub

Located in the heart of Melbourne’s fashion zone, this project involved adaptive reuse of a former heritage State School and construction of new naturally lit studio spaces, all connected by a glass atrium which touches both buildings lightly.

The new building contrasts sharply with the Victorian school building and the cement sheet cladding is decorated with digitally printed patterns from the V&A’s Wallpaper Collection providing a further link between the Victorian Heritage and 21st Century Technology in both building and fashion
